tech founder, visual artist, business strategist

About

Natalie Minyu Li founded Etoile Foundry, a company building software to empower human artists. The first product is currently in private beta.Offline, she works on projects in visual art, writing, film, and gaming. Her art is inspired by children's stories and street art culture. By juxtaposing playful characters with colourful doodles, she hopes to appeal to our optimistic inner child and encourage open-mindedness. Along with her own art exhibits and events, she supports other underrepresented artists in media / interactive entertainment through financial consulting, education, advocacy, and funding.Previously, she managed finance at Lionsgate Motion Pictures and HarperCollins Children's Books. Before pivoting to the arts, she worked on debt transactions at an advisory boutique and a global investment bank. Her team helped distressed hedge funds reach the first cross-tranche debt deal with Puerto Rico in its bankruptcy (her clients headlined in Bloomberg article). She's natively fluent in Mandarin Chinese / Cantonese Chinese and conversationally fluent in French. In her free time, you can find her rollerblading on the beach, drawing in cute coffee shops, or driving around LA looking for fluffy plushies. 🎀
